I'm probably fishing for red snapper in a swimming pool here but, is there any here that I can brainstorm with about my clothing line idea? Anyone I can get down to deeep detail and not worry about stealing, or too close of a copy cat?

I would be willing to listen to some stuff. I'm in a similar dilemma. I'm working and trying to start a company on the side...pretty much just on the weekends now, and it more or less has to do with clothing. I love my idea, but I'm actually not passionate at all about fashion or anything, but I think its a big money maker. I have lots of ideas actually and find it very hard to find people willing to really listen and brainstorm with, so I'm kind of excited that I stumbled on this website. Its surprisingly similar to a website I wanted to start years ago and didn't know how to...even though I bought the web address. It could still be done I suppose...anyway...What state are you in?
You can PM me anytime you need something.
But I have to warn you. About once a week someone starts a thread wanting to start their own clothing line.
It's a tough business out there.
If you want to be rich, sell products and services.
If you want to be insanely rich, create and control markets.
I must create a system or be enslaved by another mans; I will not reason and compare: my business is to create.

I've worked on two business plans for start-up clothing lines. I have a little bit of experience with this. PM me your email address and I'd be glad to help. As is with every business it all starts with the money. If you don't have the correct financials then you don't have a business.

If someone is serious about sharing information regarding an idea or product concept, it is very important to sign a Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement. If one of the parties is not willing to do this, than it is probably not a good idea to give them any information. There are a lot of sights offering NDA's.
Good luck with your project.
A very close friend of mine runs a clothing (specialty shirts) business online. PM me or email me and I'd be happy to broker a conversation via email and let you guys work it out from there...
