I need advice also looking for partners.

I have decided to remove the wall of text that was my background and use the K.I.S.S technique. I am in the start up phases of a website. I am looking for the best method for gaining partners/investors without giving away the idea. I am passionate about the subject of the website and confident that it is a needed function that the niche has been crying for. I am looking a for partner with strong PHP, CSS, HTML, MYSQL, and JAVA skills. This partner will develop the website and later be responsible for overseeing the development team. Is a NDA common practice before disclosing the idea information?

P.S. this subject may be more suitable for the start up section of the forums.

I also should mention that I currently own a dictionary 1 word 3 syllable domain name. I also have the media contacts and fan base to help publicize the site once it is launched. I also have vast experience in industry that the site is being released for.

Great, how young are you when you start to manage your own record label and clothing company?

I started promoting bands at 16. I opened my record label when I was 19. I started my production company and clothing company when I was 20. I am currently 29 with 8 years experience in almost every aspect of the music industry.

NDA is common practice yes among individuals who do serious business. If they wont sign an NDA then dont bother with them imo.

Thank you. It is kind of terrifying seeing allot of uncreative people asking for business idea's because they cannot formulate their own. It is obvious that they are looking for the proverbial fairy to wave a magic wand and have no passion or drive. It is scary to think about the fact that someone with the financial resources and lack of vision could take my idea and run with it. From my experiences in the music industry I formulated a plan that will help to solve 90% of the problems that new artists, record labels, promoters, and venues face.

P.S. I want to give special thanks to Roger (rogercbryan) his phone conversation was very helpful and I am working on a RFP as we speak

Well have a non disclosure agreement ready and make sure you get the potential partners or investors to sign it before revealing your idea. Without giving at least some information to an investor, they will be quite hesitant to put their money in your business.
