I have only 1 testimonial on my website so far

I'm waiting for other people to send me there testimonials so I can add it to the site.

Should I remove the testimonial from the site and wait until I get the others? I'm just wondering if having only 1 testimonial is a bad look, or should I say something like "more to come?"

How many testimonials should be on the site?

I would take the one down until you have more.

I would say a good amount of testimonials would be 4-6

I agree, I would take it down if it's not too difficulty, until you have more.

I don't see anything wrong with leaving one up. It's better than nothing as far as I'm concerned. I'd rather buy a product one person reviewed and said was excellent, than gambling on a product that doesn't have any reviews.

I might disagree - leave the one you have and then say "We are currently collecting more, but would love to make you our next testimonials" and link a part of that to your contact page/form.

Leave the one to show that you are credible to some degree -- and then actually get more and put them up

Also, pictures with testimonials is a must, and video speaks volumes over text!

    I like that YMI,

I was thinking leaving the one up with an "under construction" or "more coming soon" tag and it sounded off to me so I said ditch it. YMI makes a simple yet elogant point and I like it! And if you do a video, no cue cards! Every time I see one where the person looks stage right it counteracts teh credibility!

First, what website is this in reference to? Secondly, shouldn't the testimonials come from those that actually used the site or product rather than just collecting testimonials randomly from other forum members? Am I missing something here?
