I have been listening to tons of motivational speakers on how to become a millionaire etc but I still have yet to find out! Is this a bunch of balony?

It's been a passion of mine for a long time to run my own business, be my own boss, and be able to stay home with my kids at the same time. I work a 9-5 job that I hate, don't have any time for my kids, and am worn out at the end of the day. I have ideas but I'm not sure where to start or how. So I have been reading a lot from speakers such as Dani Johnson, Ali Brown, and others...I have watched dozens of videos and recieve many weekly promising secrets to become a millionaire, the perfect plan, become a millionaire over night and what not. They talk a lot about how you have to act, how you have to think....law of promotion, etc. etc. but I have yet to hear on a solution or what to do to become rich. Is this all a bunch of baloney and the ones making all the money are those who are talking in these videos and writing these books? I mean maybe there are secrets or something that can truely help me in their books or videos that must be purchased but before I go spending my money I would like to know if it is worth it??? A lot of people seem to give them amazing reviews so maybe I am the clueless one here and don't know how to use the information that I hear....please help!

I hear you! I was in the same vote as you for a long time. It seemed like every book was the same, it was just written by a different author and had a different cover.

I was just wanting someone to hit me with it straight. You know, just tell me what to do!

Someone finally did. That someone was a millionaire.

They said, start a Network Marketing business. I did my research and it has changed my life.

May or may not be for you. For a lot of people who are looking for a lottery ticket, this is not for them. This requires work. Don't let anyone tell you different. But I believe it is the best business model out there.

If it makes sense and you are serious about wanting to ditch the 9 to 5, spend more time with your kids and do something that you may actually love, contact me.

It is never a bad idea to read a book or watch a video, but it sounds like to me you putting to much into what they say. In other word there is no magic formula for becoming a successful entrepreneur. The overwhelming amount of people are going to "fail" many times before they succeed. No one way will get you there, just never stop learning and never give up, and NEVER EVER listen to anyone who tells you they have the formula, or that they can get you rich quick.

Well that's the thing, seems like everyone nowadays has the formula to success and wealth... yet you go through hundreds of steps, sign up for dozens of mailing lists, and so on to only realize that you must "buy" something before you get the secret formula... Nobody said success is easy, but I wish it wasn't so darn hard either.

Its all right reading these books and videos etc but unless you take some action they are no good what so ever, you have too make it happen. You dont mention if you have say a website or blog or infact have actually started a business.

If you want anything badly you make it happen like you could get a Blog up and running on a interest or hobby that you like within a hour and if money is a problem, when starting Blogger is totally free, this would at least mean you had taken the 1st step it may not be a big venture to start out with but you would be up and running.

Books and courses are all right but if it was easy everyone would be doing it,a franchise or buying out a existing business or established website is the only option to get results from day one this depends if you have a deep pocket or not as you have not mentioned anything about it i take it that option is not on.

Good luck with what ever you decide to do or what route you take but dont br afraid to ask for advice as i am sure you will get some help.

Well thats what I am saying, if anyone is promising you a magic formula then RUN! The fact is that is hard, thats why the majority of people give up and just work for other people. Here is some solid advice (so that you dont waste anymore money on get rich quick stuff). When choosing a book or video to read or watch, make it have a purpose. In other words you need to brain storm and figure out what it is you want to do, and what it is you want to start. Then get books and videos that are specific to that subject. It sould like to me you are going through a desert with out a compass. You need the figure out what you want to do, and choose material based on that decision.

Im just starting my own business, but one thing I have learned in my short time is you have to start with a passion, whether that be helping others lose weight, learn how to manage their finances, or even a better way to do laundry. It can be anything. If your not passionate about what you do people will be able to sense it and will look somewhere else. That's why it's sometimes a blessing not to hear what businesses these millionaires have started to succeed. If you don't have that passion, you'll never be able to take your business to the next level. Hope this helps!
