I have An Idea, Now What

Alright! I finally have an idea on an invention that actually gets me pumped on and motivated. So now what do I do?

My product would be sold to store owners as opposed to the general public. What is the first step to get this on the road? Should I talk to some people to say "If I could develop a device that does this would you buy it for your company?" or what?

Im young and I have no idea on what to do, but I will take affirmative action towards this.

    Thanks all

You do not want to tell everyone idea. If it is good it is bound to get stolen, if you are not careful. What you need to do is approach a lawyer. Talk to your family about it too. Run it by everyone in your circle. It is expensive to get a patent, so you need to find some capital, and try to write a business plan. Use the resources online also.

    GOOD LUCK!!

oh, I hope no one finds out what it is. I would be pissed. I actually submitted an idea for some car thing awhile ago to an invention company and then about two months later a site at it up. I was pissed!

Thanks for the advice. I will try to prepare for this as much as i can!

would you consider to run the business homebased and test water in the internet first. It would be a very good start if you know what market needs before launching it.
