I got a great idea for a new iApp Game

    Hi members of youngentrepeneur.com,

As title says, I've got a great idea for a new game for the app store.

I do not know much about coding/programming, which has left me to contact the people of ConvoSpark.com (Status: waiting for a reply)

    I do have some questions that I hope someone at this forum could answer;

    - Should I make the game 'free', seeing its my first app, and hopefully gain revenue by depending on ads?
or should I put a demo version out, with the two first levels being playable, and a full version purchaseable in the Paid Apps section?
Which is more realistic in order to successfully gain interest in my game?

    - Have I done the right thing to buy a service from ConvoSpark? (As I can't program the game myself, I see no other solution)
Will they charge me a one-time fee for making the game, and leave it as that? or take a % of my revenues? (I realize this question goes under their terms of agreement, but if anyone could answer, it would be much appreciated)

I may sound naïve, but I truly believe my idea could be the new 'Angry Bird'. It's simple, and has what it takes to become highly addictive.

    Thank you for all feedback

    Best regards

    Nes

I don't know how they will charge you but if you can't do it but you know what you want then getting someone else to do it is really the only option I can think of. Did you look around for the best price or are they the only ones who can do iApp's? If you know anyone personally who could do it then you could try to figure out a deal between you both, for example 60-40%.
I would start go with the demo then charge for the next levels. Hopefully this will get people hooked on it.
    Hope it goes well

I totally agree that the mobile industry is exploding but I would suggest using advertising as a way to make money and keeping the app free. It seems that more people are open to trying it out and then perhaps buying a full version of the game. That model seems to work best where to bring in the "fish" and entice them with features, graphics etc. that they want to pay for a better or more detailed version. Never do one or the other (just free or just paid). You want to be diversified especially with IPhones apps where getting acceptance is so crucial. Good luck!

Just google for news as well such as here: Paid apps do better in the charts than free ones

don't assume that what he has is marketable
there is an overwhelming likelihood that it's garbage
it's a game after all. people might dig it or they wont...which is most likely
the only reason why people download angry bird is because it's one of the most downloaded games.
quality or features has nothing to do with it. it's just a matter of chance.

overall, there is no point advising people that have no customers (as they are mostly fantasists)

personal note; i hate the entertainment business
