    How would you handle this...

    Hey guys.

An co-worker of one of my friend's has a roomate working on a new venture. My friend happened to mention that I was an aspiring entrepreneur to his co-worker, who I assume passed on the info to his roomate. To make a long story short, the roomate is interested in discussing his venture with me but wants me to sign an NDA (non disclosure agreement).

I just wanted some input as to if this was the norm. Furthmore, I am also thinking about a potential new venture and I was wondering if I should utilize an NDA when I apporach potential clients? To mean it seems as though if you are seeking clients and can't share with them the what and the how without an NDA, they probably would not even bother talking to you.

    Any input is apperciated.

It's completely normal for someone to request you to sign an NDA when sharing an upcoming project. But, why would you have your clients sign a NDA? When you say clients, do you mean partners or customers? Usually clients means customers, so I just want to verify.

Sorry for the confusion. When I said "clients" I meant partners or other business entites whom I would need to work with me to actually make my idea a reality.
