First of all I'm going to keep the specifics way down as not to hurt anybodies feelings.
My internet business is now putting its content on another companies website (there will be a special section for my stuff) to help gain exposure and content. The company has failed to meet deadlines for the website design and the graphic design they were going to do for me. I realize that I'm the low man on the totem pole and they have a lot of other projects to work with. The company has a lot to offer, so I want to work with them. Any suggestions on how to work with them?
My idea is that if they had to put more of an investment into my content (pay me, or pay for advertising etc.) they would lose something when they failed to come through on deadlines. Basically if they hurt me they would be hurting themselves a little. At the same time I don't want to push hard because this company can get me a lot of access and contacts I can't normally get.
I'm also thinking that it would be smart to call them and explain what things look like from my point of view. They will probably be much more willing to help remedy the situation if they know what its like from my end.
This is my first time working with anybody else on a business so I just wanted general advice. What do you think I should do? At what point should I give up on them?
Thanks for the help!
