    How to target college graduates?

What marketing methods would you recommend to specifically target college graduates?

    Thanks!

Depends on a whole host of factors.

The first step is to determine who your target market really is. What are their demographic and psychographic information. Where can they be found. How does this market respond to various advertising mediums. Which ones are most effect for this market.

    Need more info-

You need to describe your service or product and then there will be more help.

College grads range from those headed off the further graduate education/reputable job, to those who can't shake the lifestyle and will be at local bars and establishments for happy hours after their 9-5.

As everyone has commented, we need more info!

I know one thing for certain is that students love freebies and giveaways. If you have something tangible to promote, hand them hand out as samples on campus.

You can put an ad in college newspapers, in the classified section they're usually cheap to put ad. You can hire someone to pass out flyers in your local colleges. You can try face book or my space.

I think Shahab814 has got it right. Facebook is a real good start. Even though now everyone can use it, its core user base has been college students. I know my friends and I (who have recently graduated) and friends of mine who are still in college go on Facebook a minimum of 3 times a day. Additionally it's got some pretty sweet marketing tools: you can even choose what specific school sees your add, and I even think it allows you to further narrow the demos that see your add. The charge for it of course, but at least you can pick who sees your add.

If you're marketing online you can use Google Adwords and bid on keywords and phrases that new college graduates are probably searching for.
