How to start!
This is the hardest part for me. I always have ideas and sometimes I even make plans. But its always a lack of something. Time, money, skills in a certain area that hold me back in the end. How have you guys made your start in business and what tips do you have?

good questions
the answer to "how to start?" is "be a good founder"
a founder is a person who does three things: formulates a problem, formulates a solution, agregates resources outside of her control to match the solution with the problem
the method for aggregating resources is generating intellectual property/inside information (i.e. survey results) and leveraging this information to get creadit, premises, sweat equity etc..
that's foundership and that's how people get started
the first step is to formulate a human problem that you want to dedicate your self to solving
there is a lot of ways to incorrectly practice foundership
in fact, it is mostly practiced incorrectly with predictible results
founders consistently fail to problem formulate, and insted focus on solutions (i.e. I've got a great idea!)
This is a deeply flawed way to practice foundership, and following this path leads to inferior results

Maybe you should build a team of people and distribute your work. you really wont be able to do everything yourself. Try outsourcing.

I find that setting goals and focusing on the results of those goals is the easiest way for me to stay motivated. With my goals in mind, I can usually overcome any shortcomings - it takes a lot of creativity, but there are ways to get around any roadblock!

Time: Learn how to manage time wisely. Time management is a powerful practice, especially when you've got a lot on your hands and need to balance everything.
Money: Be resourceful! You can look for partners or make up a team and set out any ideas to generate money.
Skills: Talent can be a key to success but so is hard work. So even if you may not have the talent, you can still succeed if you learn hard enough and strive hard.

Time is the most valuable of the 3 you listed, and really if you don't have time for business, it won't have time for you.

1) Start your business while you’re still employed. How long can most people live without money? Not long. And it may be a long time before your new business actually makes any profits. Being employed while you’re starting your business means money in your pocket while you’re going through the business start up process.
2) Don’t do it alone. You NEED a support system while you’re starting a business (and afterwards). A family member or friend that you can bounce ideas off and who will listen sympathetically to the latest businses start up crisis is invaluable.
3) Get clients or customers first. Don’t wait until you’ve offically started your business to line these up, because your business can’t survive without them. Do the networking. Make the contacts. Sell or even give away your products or services. You can’t start marketing too soon.

After doing all the research, preparation and planning, you are still hesitant to make the first move. We all do in our first times.
I think the best way to start a business and anything in general is to be brave enough to take risks. The venture may be seem challenging and difficult as you may foresee hardships, just simply believe in yourself!
