How To Sell A Domain Name?

I would like to liquidate some of my online assets, I just have not had the time to develop the domains. So, what do I do to sell a domain name? Like do I just provide the buyer with the password and username to the host? How can I be sure that the buyer will update the billing information?

Hello pcbres16,

Instead of trying to sell your domains, why don't you try to lease them out? My company provides a source for domain owners to list their domains and lease them out to people, either for 3 months, 6 months, 12 months and so on. The best part if you set the price yourself, and can even offer an option to buy.

So let's say you wanted $1,000 for your domain and the person could not afford that. You can offer them to lease the domain for $100 per month for 6 months (totaling $600) and at the end of the 6 months they can purchase the domain for $400. This makes it easier for the lessee to finance the domain through a 6 month time span, and also creates a constant income for you.

You may try selling through different webmaster related forums like Digitalpoint.com or other dedicated sites for domain trading like : afternic.com etc.
