How to prove that you were an entrepreneur

I started an online business at the age of 14 years old and made some profit at ages 15 and 16.

Now, the business is basically just sitting there as I have no interest in it anymore and want to move on to bigger, more ambitious things. So i'm looking to sell it.

I'm building a resume and was wondering, how can I PROVE that I owned this business? Sure I can make a web-page on the website verifying myself, but after I sell the business this won't work. Is there any type of award, certification or something along these lines that I can place on my resume proving my skills?

I don't think just saying I did it would be enough, especially after I no longer have the business and sell it to somebody else. What can be done? Thank you!

If it is just for a resume, won't it work just put the title down? For instance, CEO of XYZ 2001 - 2002 or something like that?

What are you using the resume for? Does the company say that they want verifications?

What kind of business was it? Was there any accounting record available or something?
If you sold the business to someone else, maybe you have a record of that transaction and use that as a prove if required?

They can do a whois on it. Actually go do a whois on it and print it out. It says who the administer of the website is.

Do you have a receipt of when you sold it? sorry for my previous post, as it will only state the current owner.

Was it incorporated? Surely you'll have some kind of document from that.

If not, you're tax records might show you as self employed?

I see, thanks for the advice!

I'm going to do this, but I was also thinking of something more, stable. Just one simple thing that could prove the years of work accomplished. I guess all there is are the few records, transaction records, website files and that.

All the above are the best ideas for professional documentation, BUT if it is for your ego then:

When you write a contract to sell the business, add a clause that forces them to put a "Founded by Newtri in 2002" at the bottom of the webpage. If they do not agree, don't sell it.
