ok...step one...there's a few

protection (i.e. exclusive rights to commercial exploitation against others) is not extended to ideas, but types of personal property...an idea is not personal property (legally)

a legally recognized personal property is a literary work, design drawings, audio recordings, written trade secrets, contract rights and some others

so...step one is to write/draw/record the idea in all its parameters, including the intended application of the technology it self (i.e. what problem the solution is designed to solve)

is this checked?

good luck

The other side is copy somones patent and sell the product in another countries. Where they have no patent. Expensive to patent every country.
When the patent company finally shows up to Ethiopia to sell the patened food product which is only if the idea's is super successful. you have been selling it for 5 years.
