How to make money without a job.

I'm not allowed to work right now and my parents support me financially.

I absolutely hate living off of their money and want to make my own money. I also have a great business idea, but it requires some start up money.

Are there any good ways to make some money without a job?

I'm 19 btw...

Start making money off the Internet then.

First, you need to know what you passion is about. Then, start a blog about it and provide people with tips, tricks and your experience with the hobby. You can then put up ads or promote some products or services (affiliate marketing) for some pocket money.

Of course, money will not come in overnight as success takes time and effort as well.

Disclaimer, find out if this is possible from the laws where you are.

Is it possible to start a corporation where you are a shareholder and go into business that way? You may not be able to work because of the "green card", but does that mean you cannot receive dividends from the corporation (which actually may be more than having a job with less taxes)? You may need the advice of an attorney and a tax consultant, which may be free depending on where you are.

It depends on how much time and efforts that you are willing to put in. Mind you, big money will not come in overnight. Some blog for years before they start seeing good money coming in from their blogs.

You can always read up the basics that are on Problogger.net in order to get started with blogging. You can always hook me up if you want to have some personal assistance with it.

I agree, blogging can take years. I tried my hand at affiliate marketing for months before I decided that while it had potential, it was a bit slow to get going, and is a bit of the 'flavour of the week'

I work for myself in the greeting card business, and it is proving to be highly profitable, and their is tremendous potential for entrepreneurs to start up and make great money.

There is a one time fee to access the service, but thats it.

Im in the same boat man...I am 21 years old and am a college student. I left my job in September of this year because quite frankly i was miserable and wanted to go to school. Usually it would have been easy for me to find something more accomidating to myself but with this so called economic crisis no one calls back and no one wants to hire...It has always been a dream of mine to make money from home but everything i get into is either not legitimate such as cash-gifting or a scam such as myproductcenter..heck i even signed up for the average joe and that even seems to me like it can be a scam...though i have heard many good things about it..I was looking into spider web marketing which i hear is legit but there is always a catch..It is supposed to be a free system but you go through all of the tutorials and end up having to spend money...it owuld have been more honest imo if they said its free to sign up but there are fees you have to pay along the way to get the most out of it...I have spent almost 500 bucks in the last 2 months trying to generate some type of income from home and have nothing to show but heartache...I am looking into blogging now.

There are ways to make money online without having a blog and you don't need money to do it. It doesn't take years to get money coming in if you learn from a valuable source where there are like minded people after the same goal.

In order to make money online whether it be blogging or any other way you have to first find a hungry crowd or a group of people with a problem. then you need to know how to help that hungry crowd solve there problem. It's not really a hard thing to do if you learn the right techniques from the right place.

Average Joe not familiar with it really had no other reason to leave where I am right now. Im feeling you on having to spend money but where I am I can make my membership fee in one day if I want with out breaking a sweat. I did that for a while until I learned some more different ways. Free ways. There are some good places out there to learn free legitimate ways to make money online.

There are plenty of ways to make money online nowadays and blogging is probably your best bet, i read a few of the replies above and agree totally. with a blog you need to market it well and get it established within a niche so you have consistent traffic viewing it. you need to make sure people know about your blog, and the information you supply is worth people reading and actually providing them with something unique, well, that is the idea... but for your original question, it probably won't get you an instant start up sum for your other business plan.

if you have a business plan ready, and the business is feasable, then take your chance at trying to get a VC or bank loan, a lot of banks are more than willing to help entrepreneurs with their business ventures. even though right now probably isnt the best time with the economy in meltdown, but thats an avenue worth thinking about. you could always just go round the family and ask them in exchange for shares in your business/ company.

or if you are becoming desperate, using the money your parents are supplying you wih to set up and event or seminar to make a bit more cash. if you want to know anything more about any of the above in more detail send me a message and we can talk and i can help you!
