How to get started whithout any capital

Hi there fellow entrepreneur and entrepreneurettes!

I'm 26 years old and live in Sweden. At the moment I have close to 0 Swedish crowns on my account (to not confuse you non-Swedes, according to
Forex 0 Swedish crowns is equal to $0 =P )

I hold no job either, BUT what I do have is a lot of time on my hands and firm decision in my heart to do WHATEVER it takes to eventually become economically independent!

I know that you guys are an extremely creative and innovative bunch, so I'm asking you:
What would you do if you were hellbent on making some money but you had $0 to your name?

    My very best regards

    Manuel

    Thank you sir!

As for affiliate schemes, is there any reliable source where one can find information about it? When I search for it SEO only takes me right to the very pages that wants me to BE the actual affiliate =P

first of all what are you interested in/good at? when you don't have an opportunity to do something new (ie having capitol to take a risk) you have to go back to what you know.

One thing that might surprise you is that you are a target audience. Being 26 and in sweden you do have local and age specific knowledge that is valuable to companies outside of sweden that are looking to enter your market with a product or service. Not going into details you can start imagine how many different arenas you could go after.

You have one thing that most people don't, time. One of the things i have found to be the most valuable in almost any business is salesmen. Whatever you want to do you have the time and energy to market yourself and get exposure for your venture. Almost any other part of a start-up and can be done part time or after hours of a regular job except for sales and marketing. you could be selling a diamond encrusted toliet plunger but if you have the time to sell this and market it to distributors eventually you will sell one.
My point being that you have a valuable asset at the moment (time), and if you don't have the money to produce a product or service perhaps you should consider selling something you already know,,, yourself.

i really dont mean to be snide, but, i think what Proph is saying is to basically get a job. Preferably in an area you're interested in. Then see what opportunities arise to start a business using what you've learned.

Really good idea. I will brainstorm on this subject and see what I can come up with, thanks!

I am interested in languages and can speak Swedish, English, Japanese and Portuguese ( I can't write in the latter though)
I am very interested in aviation as well. Personal development is also something that I find very interesting. My strongest skill would most likely be writing or talking to people and making them feel comfortable.

That's some great advice. I am very grateful for the advice you're giving me, it is very inspiring!

seems pretty strait forward to me. why not start a consulting company doing translations for airlines, mechanics, part suppliers or airports or companies in the avaiation field. In terms of personal development though you might find a client in foreign airlines who have to deal with local unions etc... Small and midsize companies don't want to pay to keep someone with language skills on staff but hiring a consulting company as needed(got any friends that speak different languages than you? if so you have a potential partner). I can see many ways you can make money (without having much startup money) with your lingusitic skills. You have the time, get a template based website for speed and ease of setting it up and spend your time marketing your ability to speak multiple languages to international companies on a consulting basis. or even better shake the business tree in your area and see if any companies are looking to expand overseas to an area where you can speak and read the language.

hell if i had more time on my hands i would hire you to translate for me so i could pick up some swedish bikini models :-)

it is possible to start on line at zero or at least very low cost, I started my website to help those people like you. My advice to you is read & absorb all the information you can get, take your time, don't jump into anything too quickly. read up on affiliate marketing. There is a wealth of information on the internet.
    Best of luck

Thanks a lot for the solid tips that you gave me. I must say that all of them are really good ideas. I have friend who can help me out with creating a website for me for free. This I will definitively try out!
I will also shake that proverbial business tree and contact some local companies and inquire if they might be in need of my services.

Hehe I would be my honor. You'd actually be surprised if you knew how many models per capita we have over here

Thank you for your advice, I will look into that. What was the most challenging part when starting up an internet based business and what is the most rewarding feature of it?

This is good advice. Get a job in a field that interests you and save as much money as you can. You'll gain valuable experience and you'll have a bit of capital available when it is time to start your own business.

To be honest, a person with zero capital is a long shot at best in forming a successful business. I've been involved in the biz-to-biz sector for years, and have seen many succeed but also many fail. #1 reason by far for failure?.....lack of capital.

No argument there. That is the sole reason for this whole thread, finding creative ways of raising capital or earning money when you're starting out on zero

to start an online business require some basic start up fund (hosting and domain = US100/year) as well, it is impossible to do anything profitable with zero investment.

I am running about 70 adsense micro niche sites, income source purely from adsense, it takes me about US600 each year to maintain the sites, but i am manage to earn 10X + from these sites if correct method is being implemented.

Conclusion, you still need some capital even the online business is considered as the least fund needed for start up.
