How to get involved in investing in stock?

Hello everyone this is my first post. I cam across this forum a couple of days ago and came across an intriguing postf someone let, saying that in these times, it is a perfect time to invest, as long as you know what you were doing.

The post left me curious to know much more, however I have never been able to find out much about investing, nor do my family have much knowledge or insight into it to be able to help me understand.

I was wondering if someone could point me to some rescourses where I could quickly but effectivly learn about it. I also would like to find out just what the greatest opportunites of investing in todays market are, as the posters comment left me very curious. Thank you

A quick search of 'investing' on google will bring up thousands of pages full of information about investing, and about investing in today's turbulent market. The thing you have to remember is everyone has differing ideas, and it is really up to the individual investor to choose his or her strategy. I would suggest do a lot of reading on many different websites to see many different viewpoints, then it is up to you to choose which way you want to go.
