I'd go to the president of student affairs, and student body. You'd be shocked how much they know on a college campus. They could direct you to the right people in the right offices. They also are the most efficient in helping getting the idea out. Also consider a business dean at your university, maybe they'd be able to help direct you through your right paths

What does starting a business on campus or setting up shop on campus have to do with having a contract with the school?
Do you mean you want to sell directly to the school?

Book stores on most campuses are independently operated. Even if they are owned by the school. You need to contact the book store directly.

yeah sure, but what if i wanted to sell to the school itself, and have them give my product to the students for either cheaper or free, and have it set up in the tuition program....

basically im getting ready to get this all together, and just wandering do i call and say blabla i got a product, i want to meet, when can we do it?

What exactly are you selling? Schools are not in the business of selling products.
If it is sold in a bookstore, then they would be who you should contact. If it is IT equipment, then you should contact the department responsible for selling IT to students (most campuses have this).
Individuals departments in the school are responsible. The school is extremely unlikely to try to sell something for you or even give it away. That's not their business.

If bookstore is who you want to do business with-Jasaunders is right. You would have to contact the "director" or "manager" of the bookstore.

If it's the school you want, you would have to look for the person who is in the purchasing department or procurement.

Mostly, Student Govt. controls all of the student activites, eateries, and stores. At least thats the case for Florida State. The university just sets guidelines and the SGA picks bids from potential businesses. Definetly befriend the Student Govt official(s) and they can make it happen.
