the saying is that 1% of your traffic will click on your google ads so if you drive traffic then you'll drive more clicks. understood.

but is there any other way to drive clicks? i have one website where i get paid on average $1/click for my google ads. i get 2 clicks a day on average. so i make $2/day with this site. it pays for the domain name and hosting and i get a little extra. but if i could somehow get 50,000 unique clicks i could buy a brand new BMW. i'm sure this is every webmaster's pipe dream.

anyone have any creative ways to generate more clicks based on a site's current traffic?

if you want to make money on every NFL bet that is simple. become the bookie. take $500 of action on one side, take $500 of action on the other side, make a guaranteed $50 on the juice. there you go wiseass.



my post had to do with if someone found placement of their ads having more success in one area on the page instead of another, if the background color effects clicks, etc... thinking outside of the normal "i'm gonna place ads on my page and hope someone clicks them".

i dont want to know about increasing traffic. i am aware of many things to do to do that. i am curious about increasing your clicks.

on average 1% of your traffic will click your ads. i bet some sites out there get 5% or 10% of their traffic to clicks the ads. i am curious if they had secrets how to increase clicks, not traffic.

You can try testing out different colors, placement, sizes, etc... on your ads. It really is all about testing and finding out what works best on your particular site.

Just be careful to not trick people into clicking them cause they will probably catch on.

The key is to constantly develop more and better content on your Website, which will attract additional visitors. Also make sure you're strategically placing the ads on your site -- if they're not mixed in with the content, you're not getting the full return on investment.

I had a buddy who took the most important items people search for, and right about it on his website. You can go to google, and look at traffic counts for goods. For example, Dell battery recall. If you wrote an article when it first hit the news, the google bot could already hit your site and helped put you on the search engine. In your article, you had to make sure you put all models of Dell's computers. If you ever visit one of those website that have just an article, you have a hard time clicking back out of it. Therefore, you have to click an ad to get out.
