How to find RELIABLE Wholesale Sources

I have a very big issue these days with finding wholesaler suppliers on the internet. Either they are sellling me fake goods produced in China in some sweatshop or they are just garbage products that noone wants to buy but people only want to get rid of.
I am really interested in knowing the real way to find sources. Is it that most wholesalers dont bother with the internet? Or would all wholesalers rather dropship and charge a sign up fee?
    How are websites like alibaba.com?
I need to figure out how to find better sources and contacts in order to be able to research the market correctly. This really annoys me how everytime I search for wholesalers I get these liquidators selling me nothing for 1.00 that I can turn over for 1.50.
I appreciate any help anyone can give me.
    Thanks everyone!
    Bob

    Hi Bob -

Everything depends on the quantity you are dealing with and how involved in sourcing the product you want to be.

Dealing directly with manufacturers in China is a complicated process and it is hard to find good people over the internet.

Check out my website or PM me and I may be able to help

    Hello,
A lot of wholesalers that do use the internet to move or source their product will use business to business trade networks and the such. They are usually subscription based sites which helps to bring in real wholesalers rather than scammers. If you're interested in learning more feel free to message me or take a look at our website.

I would never pay for a list of suppliers, or connections to them. I would also suggest looking for a product niche that is non-name brand and not a cliche starter business, like electronics.. Too many people want to find a supplier for Polo shirts and ipods, and unfortunately there are plenty of people who will send you fake polo shirts and ipods. I may have gone off track as I dont know what you are looking to source, but if you need help finding something let me know I might be able to source it for you.

As far as I know, how good the supplier is depends on which website you choose. There are many good websites that have reputation, such as dropshipeasy. Its suppliers are reliable and as it says, very easy to deal with. Have a try and wish you good luck.
If you have any questions, ask me vera123111 at hotmail.

I know many people who do and succeed from it. A lot of it depends on what time frame you're working with and what sort of business model. People who are looking to find fast sources that are reliable can use these means rather than sifting through the internet, as well they are viable options to find better deals. Especially in the case of companies that are looking to dump overstock or factory refurbs quickly. But like I said it depends on the business model and the time you want to spend.

These type of sites allow networking but also allow the users to upload their inventory or broadcast offers or wants to interested buyers or sellers.

I do agree that there are way too many sources for lists of wholesalers or dropshippers that are inffective to say the least though.
