    How to find manufacturers?

    Hi
I have been looking for a good supply of excellent quality maternity clothes and it has proven to be really difficult, especially because i am based in the UK. Literally no manufacturers are based in the UK and even overstock goods are pretty expensive and the margins just aren't that big. I have enquired into having my own lines made but have been burned by 1 company based in China, the samples they sent were shocking quality , luckly i hadnt ordered a huge run of the clothes.
So question is where can i find good manufacturers that dont require huge runs of stock ? Or where can i buy large amounts of overstock etc.
The USA has huge potential i think, motherhood, Liz lange Gap maternity are sold in huge amounts in the USA and their overstock must be going somewhere but i have had a nightmare trying to find out exactly where
Can anyone help, any information would be greatky appreiciated.
    Beth

Pixie, have you considered sourcing your textiles from South America?
