    How To Employ People?

As we all know, the day has only 24 hours, and as your business expands, you will not be able to do everything yourself.

I'm currently in the position where I need someone to work for me. The problem is that I feel it is impossible to get good people that are able to get the work done correctly and in time.

People have suggested that I should try to hire someone localy, but no one living in the area have any idea at all how to do the work I need done, and it would cost me way too much (Over $5000 a month).

I've tried to hire freelancers on a long-therm basis, and that hasn't been very successful.

My budget is about $1000 a month, and I need someone with a basic of technical skills and online marketing knowledge. And most importantly, the person must be able to keep deadlines and get the work done.

So my question is; where do I find anyone like that?

For that budget-you might find luck with virtual assistants and hungry teenagers. Do a search for a virtual assistant and they do a fine job. There are job programs in community colleges and high schools where your job posting is accessible to students who need a part time job.

If you train them right, you might be able to find a good help.

How many hours per week will they be working? If you are looking for a full time salaried employee, 1000/month will probably not work. If that is truly your budget and you want good competent help you might have to offer the employee some sort of equity compensation or profit sharing. Many people will take a cut in salary for equity or profits if they believe in the project.

    hiring people

I've been wondering how to hire people too. I need to hire people who can sew, who have a sewing machine and experience and can sew stuff for me, but in their own home. I just don't know how much paperwork this entails - is this were a 1099 comes in? What if the person gets hurt while they're sewing my stuff? If it's a 1099 situation, how much am I liable for? As a side note, it's been incredibly difficult to find anyone to sew for me - does anyone even do this anymore in the US?

    Thanks!
