No clue personally, but that is an interesting question that I would love to research at some point. I did do a quick search on google and seemed to come up with a relatively useful site. I don't know if you have seen this yet or not, but without reading all of it yet, it seems pretty helpful...

Hope that helps, I will let you know if I find anything else!

That's very helpful! a lot of clients are actually asking for it! I just told them to go to my site, but a lot of small business owners prefer to have them mailed. I have nothing! that's why I'm asking fellow entrepreneur if they've build one. I ask my ex-teacher in marketing and she said to answer the w's (who, what, where, etc..)

Just basically explaining, who you are, what your product and services, where can they find you, prices, features & benefits, and so on...

It's kind of hard to create from the scratch without a guide.

Let me know if you've done it, and if you want I can send you mine once it's done.

I think that I am really going to have to develop one for ThinkEntre. I really want this organization I am starting to be in the public eye through press releases and such, so a press kit would probably be in order for my site. I think I will settle down here and do a little more research to see if I can't find some more tips and examples to work off of.

It's kinda funny, because the more little things like that just make you look all the more professional! Well worth it, I believe!

You definately should read "Get Slightly Famous" by Steven Von Yoder. I used some of the radio strategies in the book, landed two free 8 minute local radio spots that each generated over $4,000 in profits within a few weeks.

The best clients and customers are those who seek you out because they have already heard of you. "Get Slightly Famous: Become a Celebrity in Your Field and Attract More Business With Less Effort" shows you how to build visibility and credibility by making yourself a mini-celebrity and indispensable resource to your potential clients and customers.

Get Slightly Famous, author Steven Van Yoder's debut, draws from his experiences helping clients become recognized leaders in their industries. The book provides a practical marketing "toolbox" that show how to:

1.) Get consistent media attention
2.) Use speaking engagements to cultivate your target market
3.) Become a center of influence within your industry
4.) Leverage the Internet to its full potential
5.) Create ancillary "info-products" that supplement your income 6.) And build public awareness

You can order it from his website http://www.getslightlyfamous.com/. I've personally talked with Steven on the phone. His knowledge and insight is a powerful weapon for any entrepreneur.

You can usually look on a Magazine's site for their media kit as well, and maybe use it as a point of reference for creating your own.

Good luck.
