how to buy computer hardware directly from manufactor?

Hi, I am starting a business mainly a gaming business and will need computers. I do have 2 websites and do plan to sell computers online.

I would like to know how can I contact the manufacture of the computer manufacture to directly buy the parts not at retail prices but at distributor prices. I don't want to be a distributor but will resell their stuff.

I do already have my b business registered with the state.

I just want to know how I can buy the parts not at a retail price.

By buying a crap ton of it. You're best bet is to sign up at a wholesaler. Most require that you have a business license. Any site that has prices before you sign up isn't legit. I've looked into this before. Every legit wholesaler has their prices hidden, most likely due to agreements with the manufacturers.

    Here's a list of a few:

MaLabs and D&H are two of the better known.

Ok, I just contacted the manufactor direclty which was supermicro.

They sent me to inta gram reseller. They gave me the price threw email about a motherboard for 550 bucks each.

Yet I see the same board at newegg.com for a cheaper price at 520 bucks.

I want to start a ecommerce store and sell computer parts and assembled parts meaning I will be willing to assemble the parts and make the computer. The problem is that there is no way to make money if I buy it at 550 bucks and have to like sell it at 650 bucks. No one will buy the parts from me at a higher price then retail price.

When I Contact the resellers or the manufacturers. Is there any talk jargon I should be talking to them it.

I contacted many resellers before but they make me give them a income statement that shows revenues above 1.2 million bucks. I am just starting and don't have that much so I couldn't get into their program.

I was told if you directly talk to the manufacturers you can get at least 70% off from retail price. Which in this case would make the motherboard cost around 200 bucks.

I just want to know how you can get prices on computer parts cheaper then retail price.

I have a registered business name and a resellers license.

So I mainly want to know how you can pay a price lower then retail price without buying in bulk.

I'd be wary of that "70%". With computers its around 5% markup on parts.

To buy direct from manufacturer you have to buy an incredibly large ammount of stock and by the time you have sold it all, it will have depreciated so much you're likely to lose out and even direct from manufacturer, the markup isn't so high.

I looked around on the internet. This same motherboard for a whole complete system they charge 600 bucks.

Yet if you buy the parts yourself and assemble them yourself your paying over 1,200 bucks. It dosen't make any sense. I was always told it's cheaper to build the computer yourself compared to buy a computer that is completely assembled and shipped to you.

So I don't understand if the retailers or resellers are only getting at a 5% difference then why is just the motherboard is expensive compared to a whole completed system already assembled but no OS?
