So I started a labor intensive SEO Campaign for my blog rcbryan . com about 60 days ago. Things are going very well. The site now ranks:
business consultant 39 Google
for sale by owner 70 Google
This is after two months worth of worth and about a 20% completion rate on the overall project. I'm hoping to break first page by the end of the year on both terms.
Now I need to create a plan to capitalize on this work. I picked my two search terms based on what I know best... being a business consultant... and how to sell real estate with out using an agent. Here are some of my ideas...
1- Write a few ebooks (maybe even a real book later) on the topic and then sell them on my blog. I think I can provide great insight into: starting an online business, starting a bookstore, starting a non-profit, marketing for a non-profit, or just general business stuff. I can also write a how to guide for selling your home 'for sale by owner' which there is a market for and some people charge up to $500 for this info.
2- I could install some affiliate links to sell other peoples products based on these markets. This is basically the same as above but would be less labor intensive ie - less profitable.
3- Advertising space- most people think this is a no brainer (as I'm already doing it) but it doesn't really create the income I'm hoping for.
4- Redo the site entirely and make it the home page for my consulting services. I've considered this yet I have another project I've been working on for three years that is supposed to be the new face of my consulting company.
I'm just wondering what you all think. I need to break the first page before I'll have the kind of traffic I need to make decent money. But I'm getting there so I need to start my planning now.
Feedback is appreciated
