How much money do you make blogging?

    Hey there,
I'm 19, live in an apartment in Central London, I'm an marketing executive and I'm making my way into the internet niche.

How much money/revenue do you make blogging with how many hits and what's your predicted within the next six months?
    I'll begin with myself:

    January 08 Statistics:
    246,573 total page views.
    207,954 unique page views.
    787 average page views daily.
    £0 income.

Predicted hits within July = 300,000 with £0 revenue.

    Pleasure to meet you all.

How are you getting $0 in revenue with that many page views? You must not have any advertisements on your blog???

The blog is run as a non-profit magazine at the moment.

Well, I'm not sure exactly how you're advertising or how you would like to advertise but here's what little I know of Google Adsense: (anyone else feel free to correct me here)

    - Never use a border around your AdSense links.
    - If your page has a white background, use blue hyperlinks.
    - Place your ads in the second paragraph of your post to the right of text.

These are just a few things I've heard. I'm not getting near as many page views as you are and I've made almost 4 bucks in AdSense revenue with very little promotion.

    Cheers,
    Cody

I'm just starting to get rolling with blogging, but ultimately it will to be promote another site I have in the works.

As far as Adsense, I've been providing my buddy with hosting space for a few years now (actual clients pay all expenses) and he put up a page that has been going around as a link from an email FWD for years. First of the year I told him I was replacing his the FAKE ads in the page with some of my Adsense ones and I'm making almost $1 a day. It pulls about 700-800 hits a day average and the $1 is just from one ad. If i put text adds I'm sure I could pull more.

Tyranny: I would suggest checking into Adsense even though your blog is non-profit, you still have to cover cost and cost of your time, which all falls under nonprofit.

Non-Profit just means there are no shareholders. You should still try monetizing your blog to cover your operating expenses and generate revenue to support the core mission of the NPO.

Also..you could use things like sponsored posts to raise some quick cash... That way there's no obnoxious ads on your site and you get to control what you write and get paid fo r it.

Adwords is used to Advertise your site, adsense is a publisher network where get paid for promoting other web sites. Google is by far the best in both arenas! Same goes for the fact that they are the #1 search engine and 67% of the searches are through google.

Adwords is a bit pricey though. Did you know, some people actually pay $5 for a single click?? Amazing huh?
