How important is it to be green?

How important do you think it is as a new business to be seen and considered as 'green'?

Do you have any practices in place to show your business as green? Do you think it is important for customers to see you as green?

It depends what age group you are looking to reach. If you want young customers you should go green. If the age group you are trying to reach is older than 50 I wouldn't worry about it.

In today's day going green is very important anyway. I recycle and save everything I can that still has use left in it. I don't think it's real important to show the customers you are green unless your products reflect that.

If you want to brag about how you are a green company to your customers, it couldn't hurt..Especially if your products are green products.

In todays life it is good to go green , to go green you should design a product which can benefit from the current environmental situation and it also depends on how company products are produced with renewable resources.

I agree that being green is more important now than it has ever been, and certainly younger customers are aware of this. Do any of you have business premises you invite customers into? Do you have anything visual in there to show your green credentials? Like the use of plants or recycle bins?

Going green definitely appeals to the younger crowd and the eco-minded. Installing solar panels, for example, could help your bottom line in the long run and make your company look good.

I think it should be done in a subtle way though, with plants around the office and recycling processes in place. Certainly, the more in-your-face green campaigns just put me off - I don't want to hear about how green you are, I just want to see it in effect and get on with business!

Being a customer, I have lot of concerns with global warming issue also. If I find the manufacturing plant of a company or some of its products are not eco-friendly I will never grade such company in good terms.
