Hey!
I started a company a little over a month ago, and we've been helping small businesses (and heck, ourselves) to create a strong online presence.
It's can be a lot of work, (and hard at times too). But we all know by now that it's worth it.
I'm posting today to share a couple of tools and tricks that we personally use, and also learn about what other entrepreneurs are using to make social media simple.
Please let me know of any tools that you've found success with, or have had a bad experience with, and let's start a discussion so we can all hopefully learn a little more about social media.
A couple of tools we've been using that we've found very helpful (these are not affiliate links):
hootsuite.com
HootSuite is probably the most well known management tool out there, it helps to aggregate all of your social platforms into one place. You can also schedule messages (so you tweet while you sleep) and run analytics to see how well your campaigns are doing.
tweetdeck.com
TweetDeck is similar to HootSuite, but free. You can view multiple accounts, and create multiple streams, so you're always in the know.
bitly | shorten, share and track your links
Bit.ly is a link shortener that allows you to compact links so that you can send them in a 140 character tweet, but that's not all, you can also track how many people have clicked on your link, and from where.
about.me
About.me is a great tool, because it allows people to see all of your online presences and connect with you (the business owner) personally.
Take a look at mine, here: about.me/charharhar
Hope it helps, and look forward to hearing about the tools you use!
Charlie
