Anyways, I'm still in High School and I always had a challenge talking to girls even though I was always told I'm a good looking guy. (i know, cocky). Anyways, I look at approaching business people like approaching girls my age. Once you get past the fear of standing out, you'll be fine. I've found that the fear of standing out is sometimes greater than the fear of dying. So..stop worrying about what people think of you and just be yourself.
Right. If you cant deal with your own insecurities your in trouble in the business world.

My approach to meeting new girls has worked perfect for me.

I'll see a nice looking girl, and after observing her for a while, if I really want to talk to her I'll approach her and start the conversation off as so.

"How are you doing?"
Girl Responds
"I swear I've met you before, I just can't figure out where."
Girl Responds... Usually I don't think I have met you before.
Then the most important and conversation keeping questions approach.
Now I start asking questions.
What school do you go to?
Where do you work?
Church? etc... etc.. etc..

Now of course I just don't bluntly ask the questions, but I act as if I am trying to figure out a puzzle on how I know her.

Now at the end of the whole conversation, I now know a ton of information about her.
Of course at the end of the conversation it ends with,
"Hmm I guess I don't know"
Then some small talk..
Number
Give her a call next weekend.

Works great, and is perfect for obtaining information.

Don't take this approach to talking to business people however. Just thought I would share my approach to meeting women.

say what you want to say. Introduce yourself first and open some interesting topic that connects to your business. Ask him/her about his/her opinions from that topic.
