I bought a couple of Dan Kennedy's books from the NO B.S. series. The time management book was very extreme, focusing on not answering messages, replying to emails, or opening mail until the end of the day for a very brief period. In most businesses that's the quickest way to piss off and lose your customers. His NO B.S. Business Success was much better than the time management book.

Really you just have to keep your eyes open and look for that moment when your in the zone. Think back to when you're most productive and see what steps/methods you used to get there. Then just create a systematic approach to use for all your tasks.

Agreed, he may have OCD.... what a workhorse!!!

Glad you ask Dus10. I have this mentality "make the things work for you instead of you working the things" Change the word "things" with other words such as money, business, and etc... Basically, I'm making my web works for me instead of me working for my websites.

For example. One of my business website called SmallBizPages.ca . It is Canadian small business online directory. This website runs on its own. If users would like to change their listing, they can just log in and change it without bothering me. The only time I go there is if someone submit a listing. I basically approve it. This website runs on its own 24/7 365 days. Now, if a user likes to buy an advertising, they just login and click advertise and it goes directly to PayPal. This is one great example of automated.

It is the same principle I used for my Web hosting & design company called Cyfocus .

Gambit - what are you doing to get quality traffic to your SmallBizPages?

It's great to have good systems in place so you don't have to do anything but the hard part is getting people to use them.

I'm just curious what your marketing plans are?

Okay. I thought you were doing that more for your full-time job so that you had time to work on your own ventures. Still a good idea.

    BetterEdit, good questions!

I'm not planning to market SmallBizPages at this point of time because my business, CyFocus.com is exploding which is why it is down. I'm focusing more on CyFocus to add more services. SmallBizPages are an added value to CyFocus. Who ever is CyFocus clients get a free premium advertising to SmallBizPages.ca or SmallBizPages.us. On the flipside, SmallBizPages can also generate clients to CyFocus because most small business owner would like to have a low cost services with higher return of investment.

To answer you questions, I'm actually going to use my own services for marketing such as SEO, PPC, & SES. I'm also going to affiliate with other websites that are close to my target market. I also would like to use the media. I understand where you coming from when it comes to users end. My real vision for SmallBizPages really are for users to find some local plumber or electricians. Plumber don't have much money to invest on Yellowpages for their business to be listed. I used plumber as an example here.

Ahh, I see. That sounds a lot like my site Yaz! which while it targets the same market as my business I don't put too much time into it because I'm focussing on the businesses that pay the bills. Yaz! is a hobby but it certainly has the potential to bring in clients. That is the good thing when you have established a business - you can leverage your current market to start a new project.
