How do you manage business cards?

I've collected a small pile of business cards, which are sitting in a stack on my desk waiting to be lost. How do you keep your business cards organized?

Record the info from them into your address book and then file the cards away.

Yea I put the information to contact them in a contact book I brought, and then put the cards in a drawer, its really messy, but they don't get lost

If you want to keep the physical cards you can get a card folder from someplace like staples or office depot. They've also got card scanners - like Welcome to CardScan: the best-selling business card readers on the market, that automatically pulls the info off the card into a contact management system. Might be something to look at.

If you insist on holding on to old information, archive those business cards in a separate database or card box. Since I make notes on the backs of cards when I meet people, I always know the date when I first made contact; notes also help refresh my memory of people I haven't been in close contact with.

If you have an android there is a card reader that you can use. It scans the card and keep the actual business card in a file system. scanbizcard also scans the card and puts the contact info into your address book but I don't like that.

    Thanks,

    Nick

You can use cards holder. It is a good way to manage and save your cards. It is cheap and easily available in market.

I use business card holders or albums to keep them organized and easy to manage.

Great question, and very interesting considering I own an online thermography business card printing company. I'm VERY interested to hear everyone's thoughts on this as it directly relates to my business.

In my case , I categorized them. As I am a Marketing Person and always meeting people, I organize my clients, prospects, and friends business cards according to their line of work or industry where they belong, such as banks, construction companies, restaurants, etc. Then I put them in a business card holder or album, and label each holder or album according to its genre. So that is how I am doing it. I hope it helps.

contact is the main and important thing in very kind of business cards because without prominence of your contact address you can get good business.
