I know i have many methods to getting traffic to my site, but how do YOU get traffic? Do you get it free or do you pay? Your number one method?

* Build links from other websites.
* Write and syndicate content articles
* Comment in other related blogs.
* Keep blogging!

If you want to transfer a large amount of traffic quickly, you've got two options -- a) have some idea/service/site that virally spreads itself (person-to-person) or b) buy PPC advertising from Google/Bing.

Option a) should be free or close to it, but b) will cost $$$$.

i think if you get a traffic for our blog and website doing some activities seo and i think if you khnow this field to do work step by step nd ok i tell some advise to crete a traffic more more first you do on site optimization title description and meta tag create and fxed all pages and nest making strong internal linking and next step you do of page optimization and you choosing keyword doing link building and make keyword ranked i think you choose medium level competation keyword and next to make social network group and make many friends and add people and share all our content one thing very importent to make guest blogging i think you get many traffic in this step follow nice job keep it ip

Every time you write a blog post or shoot a video, submit it to Digg, Reddit and Delicious with a snazzy headline.

I did this with reddit yesterday and I've had like 200 visitors just from that source.

PPC on Facebook to a Fan Page works well too and is cheap. Then you get your prospects to head over to your website by posting your blog posts on your Fan Page.

There are number of ways to get traffic and you do not have to waste a single penny for it (unless for a good tool). Examples are social media, Facebook and Twitter are free and they can help you gain traffic.

This is a great post! Consider submitting content you create (blog posts, articles etc) to websites like Digg, Reddit, Delicious, StumbleUpon to generate you some more traffic!

SEO is definitely an option but depending on many factors, it may take a while before you see any results. Social media is your another option, and in fact, probably a must these days, given the direction the search world is going. Social bookmarking sites like Digg etc. are great too.
Basically, spread the news about your post, or a website wherever you can (keeping in mind that your target audience is there...)
