How do you find out if an idea is legal or not?

    Hi

I've had an idea of selling football shirts but removing the sponsor. I'm wondering how I can find out if this is legal or not...

    Thanks

    Gday

I suppose you would have to ask the team's people about this, as the sponsors who paid for their name to be on the shirt would have a written agreement of what their sponsor money will get them. For my two cents, say you were selling a team's shirt as the 2009 jersey, you would not be telling the truth as it would not be how their jersey is for 2009 without the correct sponsors. I also would imagine this would be illegal as the sponsors have paid money to give them the right to have their name on the shirts.

Just wondering, why would you want to take off the sponsors name? also, after already being put on, I would say it would be a pretty tricky task getting it off???

    This isn't legal.
Those sponsors will have had a contract with the football team to have their logos on the merchandise. Merch without said logos becomes unofficial, which is the same thing as bootlegged... So you're basically selling expensive bootlegs.
If you're going to do that, you may as well just hop onto Alibaba and find someone to manufacture cheap bootlegs for you.
