I'm not sure I fully understand the scenario. What is there to feel? You find out the reason they're contacting you before jumping to a judgement.

yea, not really understanding what you're asking. Contacting you because they changed their mind about the service they received? or...

You don't ever get angry that it took that long to do business? you expected to work with them in April and they're calling you in September.

I guess it doesnt really matter as long as they are calling you. It just seems abrupt and sometimes you forget them. Also sometimes by the time they contact you, your price has changed and they waited too long on a good offer.

I'd feel grateful. Recognizing that my time is not everyone else's time. You can't dictate a person's buying season.

This is a joke right. You must not know much about sales. You are getting upset about a few months. A good salesperson lays the ground and works until they get the sale. I have projects 2-3 years out and they tend to be the larger ones that bring in better fees. If you work with larger companies that operate on a budget, you get very used to this.

My first large client took 18 months or work before I get their business. I've been working on one of the largest suppliers in my industry for about 4 years. It takes time and in this case a phone call every 2-3 months and at least one entertainment trip per year.

If it was easy everyone would be doing it!
