How do I raise money for my idea?

I have this great concept for a website but no capital to start it. So I'm looking to raise capital myself, any ideas?

Whats your great concept? Without knowing this it will be hard to advice you on how to get capital.

Yes, what is your concept? Or is it so easily copiable that we might steal the idea? Tell me I'm a noob, but is there a website that will give you capital if you have a good idea, while taking advertisement space on your site for some period of time? Oh, wow... I think I've out done myself....

I am sure he/she doesn't want to tell everyone his/her idea. But, how much money are you looking to raise/acquire? I am in the same predicament, basically the only reason I am not making more money is because I dont have enough money. You say raise capital yourself, do you mean working for it, or getting loans and credit etc?

Do this...search the the net for "angel investors" If you live in Florida you can put in the engine angel investors + Florida. Angels can be a set up person or firm for investing or a guy sitting on the park bench that offers you capital in exchange for partnership.

Angels will want a business plan and you will compete for capital with a sharp bunch, but atleast you may learn how to seek capital by getting involved with these guys.

I just was referred to a new very fantastic site recommended even by the Wall Street Journal go4funding.com I received 2 or 3 bona fide interests in possible offering of capital from just a post in less than a week. Good luck! Don't get discouraged...getting funding is probably the hardest feat to do in business.
