Exclamation How do I drive more traffic to my blog?!!

    Hey,
So I run this blog: www.ben-lang.com
My community is thriving with commenter, tweeters etc.
But for some reason my traffic just isnt growing. It ranges from 30-50 visits a day, and Im looking for 100-200 atleast. Here is a picture of my google analytics view: analytics pic

So can you please give some advice, what Im doing wrong, what I should be doing??

I think there are a couple of components to driving traffic. They are:

1)The actual setup of the blog,
    2)Keyword research and targeting,
    3)Community research,
4)Ongoing monitoring for keywords and identified blog feeds,
    5)Quality commenting,
    6)Quality posting,
7)Social media promotion and blogger outreach.

Ive done alot of research on the blogging idea. It all comes down to this: Writing content. I kid you not. Here is why it works: first, google likes content. The more content you have the more material and pages google gets to index. This means more potential visitors. The articles don't even have to be good, google doesn't know. Just write write write.

However, I don't do much blogging anymore. It isn't that lucrative. Just think about it. The average site makes 2-3$ per 1,000 visitors. Thats alot of people for alittle bit of money. I now focus on subscription based sites. Just think about this: If you had a 9.99$ per year subscription site and only 1% of those visitors subscribed that would be 100$. The real money is made when people start recommending you to their friends. 9.99$ isn't much these days, its the cost of a movie ticket. You can easily make 100k/year if you give people a good reason and high value for their money. It can be done.

Just an idea, and i dont know if you are familiar with it or not... But i trust the Google Wave is certainly going to have an impact on future communication/collaboration. From what i have researched, there are a lot of things that appear to be blog/tweet friendly... If you are serious about driving visits for income, I would learn more about Wave's capabilities and come up with an innovative way to use them to conduct an effective blog.

My words might not be worth much as i dont blog, and I am still seeking out that Wave invitation. But If Wave IS the future of the browser, then it might certainly benefit you to get proactive and creative with its capabilities. Best of luck!
