How do I become a dealer of specialty shoes?

Hello,

I am an undergrad in college and am trying to start an e-commerce website that sells specialty shoes. This is a brand new idea and I havent given much thought on what all I will need.
but.... To start, I need to come up with a way to get these shoes at wholesale price. Does anybody have an idea how to do this?

eastbay.com for example, does anyone know how they were able to get brands that they do not make but are able to sell them?

any help would be appreciated.

I think you first need to establish a game plan. There are plenty of wholesale distributors which you can find online but if you are not organized and have a game plan you will not be able to establish an ongoing collaboration with any distributor. I think you have a good idea in your hands but first create a work plan, set a goal, determine budgets and then approach these distributors. Good Luck
