    How do executives get paid?

I was looking as sample business plans and noticed that for prospective wages, the executives listed their wage as virtually lower than any other employee wage.

I understand that a lot of exectives make a specific salary, but make compensation some other ways. How do these guys end up getting paid so much ? What are these alternate ways that execs get paid?

You have to be looking at a relatively small company, or even a startup. Bigger companies, well lets just say that executives don't have to worry about money. But, if the company doesn't have money yet, executives have to take the hit.

Haha, by getting stocks and low salaries, they can get around most tax laws, keeping much more of their money. With smaller companies, the executives don't always do much of the footwork, so they would rather pay someone else to take care of the things they don't want to worry about.
