I need advice on opening a hookah lounge in Staten Island, NY.
My partners and I are looking at a great location with a nice amount of space and reasonable rent.
We're planning on having a light menu of food (keeping the middle eastern theme) and an extensive non-alcoholic exotic drink menu.
We have the vision with how it should look. Very modern, dim lighting, etc. We plan on saving money by buying furniture from a restaurant that went out of business but its in great shape.
The question are:
In NYS is a tabacco license required?
Is it a seperate license / permit to serve a very light menu?
Are their any wholesalers you recommend?
Kitchen requirements?
Some basic information:
-Partnership (3 Guys - 19 years old)
-About 1,600 - 2,000 sq ft of space
-Light Food Menu
-No alcohol (not old enough for the license)
-New York City - Staten Island
