Hooka Bar in my college town

    Hey there guys, (and gals)
I havent been on here in a while, but I'm a college student, in the south, in a large college town. Im majoring in biology (premed) with a minor in business and plan to open up a hookah lounge this summer. I already have my start up capital, hopefully. haha. But, I did the search, and there was a large thread on hooka, but it was quite old.
I'm just looking to talk to a few people who have, or are in the process of, opening up a hookah lounge/bar. My town, as of now, has no hookah lounge, but that will soon change . I have been researching diligently for suppliers but can't seem to decide whether to buy from middle east, china (ofcourse the cheapest), or here in the U.S. and wanted to get some differing opinions. Also, how your lounge is layed out, what all you offer, etc. Ive been to most of the hookah lounges in my state, and im good friends with an owner of one, but he is too laid back for my style. I try to ask him question, but he really doesnt care about it. His parents are already wealthy, and they payed for his startup.
Thanks for all the help I am sure you all will be.
    -David

Location, location, location, most important In my opinion. I grew up in a college town that supported around 15-17,000 students, had a hookah lounge right across the street infront of main campus building(lounge only stayed in business for about 12 months).. as far as suppliers..yes it is nice to find the cheapest supplier, but with something like this, I would def. say go more for the quality side.

Yeah, the college I am at has nearly 40,000. It would be almost an impossibility to get right next to it. But students are scattered everywhere, and im sure some wouldnt mind the drive.
