    Hire outside webdesigners?

    Hey guys,

I am thinking of hiring a webdesigner outside of my country (Canada) due to the cost deduction. What are some things i should look out for.. This project requires 50%-50% deposit/after when done. I have the requirements for the website and a layout, but i'm scared that it won't meet up my requirements, anybody have done this before and would like to give out some pointers?

    Thanks

Hey! Thanks for sharing your questions. I think you should check out websites like elance.com or similar sites that offer lists of web developers with validations (reviews, info etc.) to help you with your decision. Find someone who is passionate and drive to make their work stand out. This might be hard but your first conversation with them should tell all. After all, one famous entrepreneur once said, "it ends the way it started".

    Good luck!

Thank you for the link, there were 1-2 web designers interested in my business service, the only problem was the amount of work and the time frame to be completed. I was thinking of luanching this service in 3-4 months but freelancers would not be able to finish it in that given time range.

I bascially would need a memberbase and payment system as the main functions of the website , aside from that simple pages that consists of our company information, service, etc.

I been on elance searching for some established companies, but i'm still in the process of searching for the right company who can provide a service within my budget.

I've got experience- In handling outsourced work

HI, I know you're looking for people who have actually outsourced work to other companies to guide you. However, since I have had tremendous experience in handling outsourced work, I can tell you that what worked for us is communication (availability on skype for regular comm), quality of projects that we done (apart from the outsourced projects) and most importantly ontime delivery. I think you should look for the same in your partner

I hired a company outside the U.S. via Elance and they used copyrighted images. Make sure you know where their images are coming from and verify them.
