First off, what a great resource this forum is. I'm very happy to have found you all.
Thank you in advance for any, and, or all replies.
Let me start by saying that I will be involved in starting up a website.
Our site will offer our own brand, as well as various other retail products.
A large aspect of our focus will be poker related, however, the site will not be solely dedicated to poker. But for the purpose of this discussion, let's stick with poker as our subject.
So, my big question is:
When developing a website that has pages(100's or 1000's) of (poker) content, ie; Poker Strategy, Poker News, Player Profiles, Poker Room Reviews, etc...
What are the legal issues with adding content to a website?
How does copyright infringement play a part in adding content?
If a website has content, and they don't claim it is copyrighted, does that mean it is poachible?
Is it possible to poach content from other sites without their knowledge?
The last thing I want is a lawsuit!
What is the best way to add content without spending weeks/months/years
writing your own material?
Big idea is: The more (useful)content a website has, the more traffic it will produce.
Looking forward to all replies. Thx!
