copyright is awarded automatically. what ever you want copyrighted is already copyrighted (if it's capable of being copyrighted, that is)

Your statement is nonsensical, as a producer of copyrightable material does not have to explicitly claim copyright protection for the protection to be awarded. Copyright functions in the same as other personal property rights in general - if I made an ornament out of some shells I found on the beach, I do not have to register the fact anywhere to enjoy personal property rights in that ornament. It is the same with copyright. If I wrote out this post on a piece of paper, I automatically enjoy a number of rights in that document (i.e. copyright)

What you are referring to a diffrent kind of registrable (i.e. the right has to be registered with the relevant office to be enforceable) intellectual property right, particularly, you are talking about registered trademarks
