    Help on forming a business

    Hi

After you have created an LLC, do you have to file an "Articles of organization" or Certificate of Organization" ? What does the paper look like ? I got the paper says Articles of Organization on top and the rest is empty. Also, does New York State requires You to publish in a local newspaper a simple notice stating that you intend to form an LLC ?

    Thank you

with the U.S. Government. The USPTO handles trademarks (uspto.gov).

Before you open your doors for business, you need to obtain the licenses and permits that all new businesses must have to operate. These may include a business license (sometimes also referred to as a "tax registration certificate"), a federal employer identification number, a sellers' permit, or a zoning permit. How do i determine which permit or licenses to get and do i get the permit or licenses from County clerk office?

Research and read. There isp lenty of freely available information on thei nternet to figure it out. Go to your county clerk's website. If it doesn't help you, then call you county clerk and ask them. Search for a local SBA website or resources, search your state's secretary of state website, and your county and city website to find out your requirements. All of your information can be found within an hour by doing some simple research.

I honestly can say that doing it on your own is very time consuming and can be costly if you make any mistakes. I would honestly suggest that you talk with a corporate attorney and accountant. There are good to have on your team so you can consult with them and they can answer all of you questions. It will cost some fees but will pay off in saving time and saving money in the future.
