    Help needed!

I am 19 years old and have spent the last couple of weeks setting up a web design business. With no previous experience in web design other than basic GCSE and A Level IT knowledge, I knew this was a risk; but I just wanted to give it a go to see if I was any good, and I think I have picked it up reasonably well.

In these couple of weeks I have gained two clients and I am currently finishing the first clients design now.

I was just wondering what are your opinions on my site Home - what could be improved, what doesn't work etc.?

If you are genuinely want to use my services, feel free to contact me via e-mail which you can find on my website 'contact' page. I am offering 10% discount until the end of March, and I am already one of the cheapest web design companies on the whole of the internet - which is perfect for any new business start-ups, any business without a website or even a business with a website that it is not happy with.

I appreciate all comments and constructive criticism,
    Luke

I can tell you one thing right off the bat, being in web dev for the last 4 years. Cheap prices isnt always the best route. You under value yourself right off the start so the client will follow. Also in my experience I have noticed clients who pay more will intrude less on the process. Less nit picking. People will pay for websites, start-ups or whatever, so all you are doing is leaving money on the table.

As far as the site goes. I would go to templatemonster.com and just compare your site to some of the web design company templates. Look at the graphics, the use of images, the design of the UI, the use of widgets and cross selling. I will be honest.. you are not ready to be offering services to clients yet. You need some more practice on the fundamentals. I would say you are off to a good start however, and would suggest picking up a partner who has more experience. Someone who can act as the SR Developer and you can piggy back on. Just my input. Goodluck!

Alright I have spent about 3 hours this morning making major appearance changes to my website. I will be correcting all of the minor appearance and content issues another day but could you all give me some feedback on its professionalism and how effective it would be to make you want to use my business? Here is the link again HOME

    Thanks,
    Luke

theres far too much writting on the page, cut it down a bit and put the main points in nice bold writting so it stands out

Nice job getting clients so quickly Milkerz. Now get those portfolio links up so prospective clients can see those projects and get an idea what level of service they'll receive.
My only feedback would be to reduce the size of the header image - on a laptop it takes up almost the top-half of my browser window. Other than that looks good...

Firefox with many tabs open; on a smaller-type laptop screen (1360x768). Even a third of main screen size would be too large for header image.
