Please!

Short Summary: I want to start a small business and would like some help and advice.

I'm an aspiring entrepreneur, I just cannot seem to put my foot down. I have wanted to start my own business for a couple years now, but I have been off and on with getting the job done. I prefer to have something over the internet as I cannot devote my time to an actual storefront.

I don't care to make millions or hundreds of thousands. I would just like something that could net me a profit as I keep learning.

I first signed up on this site back in 2004 as I was very interested and eager to learn. A few things happened and I kind of put the whole business aspiration aside and let the world keep spinning.

I'm 23 and majoring in Finance at my college. I still have 2 years (4 semesters) to go as I have had a few setbacks. I was in the Army National Guard for 6 years with 2 deployments. I also took another semester off because I have had a dream to become a police officer since I was about 5 years old and decided it was time to make my dream a reality. I am currently a Police Officer with my home town department.

Anyways, I would really like if someone could give me some help with ideas and advice. I have a hard time figuring out what could sell, or taking the risk to find out.

My first try was back when those Lance Armstrong bracelets started coming out and I bought a bunch and resold them, but the profits were so small that it wasn't much of a success.

So if anyone has any ideas or advice in where to look or what to look at, that would be great.

What do you like to do? Do what you like, if not you will not do well. Do you want to have an online business or an offline business? Do you want to sell or have a service. Ask yourself these questions, and it will come to you. It isnt a good idea to ask for what people think you should do. Its YOUR life.

As of right now I want it to be an online business. I want to sell things, not have a service, although, I don't know what kind of services are out there.

Could you give me examples of services?

I would probably like something within the sports industry, but that's all I can really think of right now.

I am just looking for some advice and guidance.
