Help me interpret pay per click site stats...

(I posted this message as "Hmmm..." which obviously wasn't a descriptive enough subject. It wouldn't let me change the title, so I've deleted and reposted for responses.)

I was just perusing my PPC statistics, and it seems like most of my site views come from Google paid ads, meaning those paid ads you see on Google search results. Right now I have a bunch of "direct access" stuff cluttering it up since I've been working with the site. But it appears that I've had around two dozen visitors in a week. However, they don't return, much less buy.

It's possible that since my service is targeted to parents and the campaign has only been up for a week that one parent will see the site and decide to discuss it with their spouse "later". That's good, that shows that people are taking my service as seriously as I want them to take it. I may have to wait until the requisite discussions happen to see if I get any buying.

I still have to figure out if I'm closing the deal or not, and if not what's wrong. I'm actually below my original price point (not $400, I was originally planning on $300, I'm now at $250) and I don't think I could lower it any more without losing credibility. I'm starting to think that there's a long "lag time" built in, that it may take three weeks from first view to buying. I'll have to adjust accordingly.

byzantium, I just took a look at your website with a few of my colleagues, half of whom have children. In a very quick survey I asked if anyone would buy this and they said no, especially at a cost of $250. I think it's a good idea and has potential but may require some more intense market research on your part to sell to your target audience. Keep watching your site stats like a hawk and continue to work on your overall strategic plan.

Ok, I will have to seriously think about my pricing strategy. It appears that people browse the site, see the price, then flee, so I will seriously have to think about lowering prices dramatically. I seriously didn't expect the economic crisis to get this bad. I think that maybe people simply don't have $250 to spend on this. I am getting clicks, so people are interested. It appears that they don't read my descriptions but go directly to the order page. Others have suggested a price point of $99, which I may have to swallow my pride and try. Over the last two days I got 7 and 10 clicks, so I think that it has an audience. My click through rate is 0.48%, and we all know about the 2% Rule, that only 2% of potential customers will respond to an ad. As I write this and babble on, I think that price is a huge stumbling block here. People are simply maxed out. I'll have to talk to my mkarketing guy.
