I have set up my sports quiz website but I am having real trouble trying to promote the site as i just don't have the money to market it to a wider audience. At present the site is only 15% of what i want it to be but i can't take it to the next step until i either get financial backing or someone's expertise in getting the site out to the world.

Article marketing, getting involved in social media sites like stumble upon and digg, freshly updated unique content, and organic SEO. They all take longer than say PPC or paid advertising but they are free and last forever. You could start with putting the link in you signature here.

Promote it to different social networking sites or create a badge/widget and make a sample q&a.

Join Facebook and/or myspace. Write 5 articles on sports and submit them to article sites like isnare.com, put a link to your site on your signature everywhere (like this forum), look for and join 2 or 3 sports forums and get involved. You'll get there! Best of luck.
