Hello a newbie here

Hello everyone. This is my first time posting in the forum even though i have about a year reading from it. Lets get down to business.

I have an idea of starting a new kind of yellow pages for the city I live. Is going to be targeted to a minority. The basic problem I have is that I don't know who does this kind of printing. I'm thinking on starting with a book yellowpage style with at least 50 pages and at least 500 impressions or so. Any ideas on where to go to negociate pricing for printing this? I live in the northeast coast by the way.

There are a lot of printing companies out there that kind print the book for you, simply find out some books in your area/country and call up their printers (normally the contact details will be printed on the book itself). From there, they are likely to let you know whether you should be looking for them and if not, they will recommend another publisher for you. Just pick up the phone and start calling.

By the way, please allow me to elaborate a bit on your idea. Why do you think another yellow pages directory would work? Also, in most countries and major cities, the "yellow pages type" business is really dying and most of them are moving their business model online without achieving any success yet. I could be wrong and I understand market environment largely depends on which country or area that you live in. Feel free to enlighten me on this.
