    Healthy Snack Food Idea

So I hear that in the modern time many people have trouble getting all the appropiate amount of fruit and vegateables in the per day...
my idea is to make a handheld powerbar that inclues 100% of your daily recomended fruit serving...
do you think is a good idea!

That's...not a bad idea. I don't know about 100% your daily recommended fruit and veggie intake in one bar though. Just thinking of the explosive diarrhea that that may lead to makes me cringe. Maybe break it out into three bars over the day or something. Oh, and make sure you use a diverse selection of fruits and veggies. Eating one pound of dehydrated tomatoes a day may technically meet the fruit and veggie requirement but...

All that being said, the simple fact that such an obvious idea hasn't been done before suggests it's not doable for some reason. Probably because the bars always taste like shit. Or that whole diarrhea issue.

Like a daily multivitamin? Why your bar rather than a less-expensive, quicker, and easier daily multivitamin?

I think you're over looking something here, and that's that to make this power bar of yours, you're going to have to process all that fruit and vegetable matter.
A lot of the nutritional value will be lost automatically from that process due to thermal reactions breaking down the stuff in the first place.

To condense it, you're going to have to drop out all the fibrous material from the vegetables (one of the most lacking things in the modern diet is fiber itself).

Not to mention, it's going to taste pretty awful.
Concentrated vegetable matter won't be all that pleasant a substance to eat. You're going to have to add a lot of sugar to make it palatable. And chances are that sugar won't be fructose derived because fructose sugar is expensive in the UK and the US. Hell, it's hard enough to get cane sugar or molasses in the US! Most likely, it'll be HFCS, which is insanely unhealthy on a number of levels.

I think you're better off just dumping money into eugenic research and trying to figure out how to cross breed cocoa to flavour regular vegetables.

I don't see how you will be able to put the 5 a day into one bar.

I usually just make a smoothie with the 5 a day in and even then that is about 3 large glasses full.

If you find some way to overcome the issues given above.. you MUST make it more than one daily bar. Think about if you were to eat all of the nutrients (proteins, carbs, fats, vitamins, minerals, etc) that you need in a day in 1 meal. The majority of those nutrients are going to be lost in your poo and pee before they are absorbed. Same goes with your bar for daily fruit/vege servings.
