Have you ever gotten any solid input from the users here ?

I am new to this forum and for the most part I see questions posted by people to only be answered with questions and opinions. Have any of you actually gotten solid leads to help you get a business up and running, obtaining capital, production of products, marketing etc?

If so then just post your thread in here. No need to give verbal feedback, just a link to where I can read up on some solid information.

    Thank you.

Even when you get your business idea shot down, it's actually good for you. It makes you go back and think "why did this not appeal to them? What can I change? How would they feel about it now?".

So don't take anything personally that people say on here. Avoid the idiots, and take all the advice you get(good or bad) and spend time thinking about it!!!

it'd be nicer if people argued more and used evidence/reason to make their points

    i'm not sure if anyone's a fan of bases less arguments including;

q: is this a good business idea?
a: oh yeah! it's gonna do well

likewise, the management doesn't seem to take interest in forum quality

I'm finding that people are rapidly forgetting the concept that businesses have to actually sell something to be a business...i know, what a preposterous idea! sales?!

if I am not mistaken, a fair proportion of ventures on this forum are not really ventures in the classical sense of the word

...I've literally just spent thread trying to convince somebody, that it's actually good to make money

it's like, no one enjoys doing sales and taking cash receipts or something, but put together some eye candy, slap Adsense on it, and suddenly - you're an entrepreneur

    real weird shit

of course, however - there are some real great people here too

y'all know who you are ;-)

I'm lost w/o YE. This is a strong sharing of minds.

There are some people who give good inputs which helps to enhance your product and some are just biased.
But "good inputs" is which is really good about the people in this forums.

Yeah, I used to think like that. That's why I sold my AdSense sites.

It's nice to have people on this forum talking, but I wish they would take about other things in business. Webmaster forums are a better place for talking about AdSense and things like drop shipping. I'm guilty of this though.

I have been part of many forums and most are the same. The new people don't use the search button and the same questions get asked a million times. The veterans jump to conclusions a lot. People in the middle vary. I think a lot of posts in forums come across worse than they are becasue they are typed and not spoken and many don't keep that in mind.

With this forum is see two main problems. First is the spam that doesn't get deleted. Second is the amount of get rich quick bandwagon types that aren't really entrepreneurs. Putting up a website and throwing on adsense is not a entrepreneur. Aspire to do something great that helps people, not do what everyone else is doing.

I agree. There are a few fundamental problems here. The blog being added helped because the forum alone isn't enough to stick around anymore. As you said, too much BS to sift through.

Another thing to add to that is the fact people keep asking for website critiques which is only related to business if you are selling something off it. Otherwise its probably just another site with adsense attached.

But i wouldnt go as far as to never have a business where advertising is the main source of incoming, thats doesn't make sense.
